Ummm....so did everyone get married last weekend?

I personally know three couples that got married, and probably a few more, plus I sang in a wedding for people I didn't even know. Sheesh!

I, meanwhile, took my straight-ass to the pride parade in Minneapolis where I danced on a curb for probably about 2.5 hours. This parade was seriously the best parade I have ever been to! Variety is the spice of life. And, in case I didn't tell you already, all I had to do to get free Chipotle was dance in the street to Shakira with a lovely Chipotle employee. Both Kristen and I scored the Chipotle for this, so this was a productive day for sure.

no more commuting

Although this is completly my fault for not moving out this year closer to work, I have to vent about commuting a little. Sorry if you get bored.

#1) If you know there is construction, please try to merge into the left lane a little earlier than the last possible nano-second. You see, if you do it early, it causes relatively little disruption in the flow of traffic, but if you wait until the very last minute, I get pissed, we have to stop, and sometimes, if I am in a mean enough mood, I will make it harder for you to merge. DO IT EARLIER! WAIT YOUR TURN DAMMIT!

#2) When you are on the 270 express route to downtown Minneapolis, please use your inside voice, including cell phone conversations. PS WHO are you talking to that early anyway?

#3) If you are wearing headphones, there is no need to blast your Metallica so everyone can STILL hear it, even when you have the headphones in your ear. There is no need for publicizing heavy metal at 7am before work or coffee.

#4) Say thank you to the bus driver!

#5) When you are exiting the bus at the end of the day, make sure the people ahead of you can get out instead of climbing ahead, that is so tacky.

Seriously, most people follow these rules of human decency, but for those that don't, you cause me road range. I am only 23 years old, and I think I am a relatively patient person, with, apparently this exception.

Hopefully all my commuting in DC will only emcompass one form of transportation, ie the metro, which will be stellar, because I want to ban driving from my life all together. If that doesn't work, I plan on inventing a Hovercraft, not unlike Marty McFly's from Back to the Future (BTTF) 2. I can't wait.

Salaam Namaste Tarkan Saif!!

Although I do realize my affinity for global music, especially of the remix and pop variety probably gets annoying to those who have to ride in the car with me, I think it is safe to assume I am not giving it up anytime soon. Especially since coming back from Chicago, I have not listened to the radio at all. Not at all. Once, my CD player in the car showed an error, but I just couldn't bring myself to listen to the radio. Not when I could be listening to DJ Suketu!

This so called self-inflicted obsession was further fed when I recieved four, yes FOUR sweet CD's from Yer. Three of the four are Tarkan, a Turkish pop singer and heart-throb. I must say I am an insta-fan. From the moment I heard Tarkan at a listening Kiosk in Cheapo in uptown, I was in love, and luckily enough Yer had the CDs, HOW HOT IS THAT?!?!?!?! For your enjoyment, I have put Tarkan in black and white in Paris. When I can see his soul patch, hit hotness decreases, but this picture is nothing but hizzity hizzity HOT!

Here is DJ Suketu also for your looking pleasure. ----->

Lastly, here is my fabulous shrine to Saif Ali Khan who is forever and ever the hottest Indian Actor who I love!!!!!!

Thus ends my ode to global hottie po-tatties!

Frenzy

It is a job searching frenzy for DC via Hugo. Hopefully out of the 20 or so jobs I applied for, I have a sliver of a chance of getting one. I feel like I have phenom interview skills. Seriously, you just follow the book and tell them what they want. Unfortunatley, all the other billion young hopefuls also have these skills as well, but hopefully something will strike. It is still early, but I would feel a lot better about moving a thousand miles away if I actually had secure employment.

All in all, I am getting used to the idea of being in DC, you might even say PUMPED minus the craptacularly hot weather that I will be moving in during. However, there is something so powerful about our nation's capital that I hope will be invigorating, at least at first before I get sick of the tourists and used to the rent payments.

Mad props to my pals who provide me with moral support, that's hot. Mad props to Yer who has a sweet workout plan that rocks the house, as well as an increasingly positive and goal driven identity. That is also hot. Plus she looks amazing while flossing in silk saris and with henna. She also has one hell of a bread throwing arm. Not many people can say that.

Until next time, let's please use less petrol.
